Cuban Sliders are everything you love about a classic Cubano sandwich in a fun, smaller size. They have just as much flavor and are the perfect size to serve as an appetizer, snack, or main meal.
These sliders make the perfect addition to your next tailgate or party, or you can serve them as a full meal alongside a side dish like Sticky Sweet Fried Plantains.
This recipe is super easy, especially if you choose to use leftover roasted pork and sliced ham from your local deli. However, you may also choose to use homemade roasted pork and ham, as well.
These sliders are made on sweet King’s Hawaiian rolls and brushed with garlic butter on top for even more flavor. No matter how you choose to make Cuban Sliders, you will surely savor every last bite.
Why This Recipe Works
Cuban Sliders are a quick and easy snack or appetizer, which may also be served for lunch or dinner. Using leftover roasted pork works great and makes this recipe even simpler to prepare.
This recipe is very flavorful. Savory pork, salty ham, cheese, dill pickles and tangy Dijon mustard all come together on sweet Hawaiian rolls brushed with garlic butter to make for a very delicious dish.
These sliders are versatile and customizable. You can easily adjust any of the ingredients to suite your own tastes. If you prefer a more classic flavor, use yellow mustard. If you prefer the more Italian version, also known as a Tampa Cuban (it was created in Tampa Bay, Florida), add salami.
How To Make Cuban Sliders
Ingredients
- 1 package King’s Hawaiian Rolls: you can use any slider rolls you like, if you can’t find these or prefer something else.

- 12 slices deli ham (about 4 ounces)

- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (for more traditional flavor, use yellow mustard. For a little kick, you can use spicy brown mustard)

Chef’s Tip: you can use as much or as little of the pork, ham, cheese, pickles and mustard to suite your own preferences. Measurements are given primarily for the nutritional information in the recipe card below. Just be aware that alterations to the recipe will affect those calculations.
